Inside Sales Agent Job Description

We are seeking a driven and personable Inside Sales Agent to join our real estate team. In this role, you will be the engine behind our lead generation and conversion efforts engaging prospects through calls, emails, and follow-ups to set appointments for our agents and grow our client base. In this role, you will: 

  • Prospect and generate leads: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups to identify and engage potential buyers and sellers from various lead sources including CRM databases, online inquiries, and referrals.
  • Qualify and nurture leads: Assess prospects' needs, timelines, and readiness to buy or sell, and maintain consistent follow-up to move leads through the sales funnel effectively.
  • Set appointments for agents: Schedule qualified appointments between prospects and real estate agents, ensuring a smooth and well-documented handoff for every client interaction.
  • Manage CRM and pipeline data: Accurately log all lead activity, call notes, and follow-up tasks in the CRM system to maintain an up-to-date and well-organized sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the sales team: Work closely with real estate agents, team leads, and marketing to align on lead quality standards, campaign feedback, and conversion strategies.
  • Meet and track performance targets: Consistently achieve daily and weekly call volume, lead conversion, and appointment-setting goals while reporting progress to team leadership.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience: Demonstrated experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or a client-facing role with a track record of meeting or exceeding conversion targets.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the confidence to engage prospects over the phone and build trust quickly.
  • CRM proficiency: Hands-on experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Follow Up Boss, HubSpot, or similar) to manage leads, track activity, and maintain pipeline hygiene.
  • Organizational skills: Strong ability to manage a high volume of leads and follow-ups simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and consistent outreach.
  • Goal-oriented attitude: Self-motivated and results-driven, with the discipline to maintain productivity and meet targets in a remote or office-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Real estate knowledge: Familiarity with the real estate buying and selling process, market terminology, and common client objections in the property space.
  • Experience with dialers: Prior use of auto-dialer or power-dialer tools (e.g., Mojo, BatchDialer) to maximize outbound call efficiency.
  • Multilingual proficiency: Ability to communicate in multiple languages to connect with a wider range of prospects and serve diverse communities.
